An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Architectural Technician to join the progressive Design & Build team based in Leicestershire.
Role: Architectural Technologist
Contract: Permanent, full time
Salary: £30,000 for intermediate level. £40,000 for senior level. Depending on experience
Start date: ASAP
Software: AutoCAD and Photoshop
Essential requirement: Driver with own car, due to remote location of office
The ideal candidate will be an intermediate / senior level Architectural Technologist with at least 5/6 years’ experience across multi sectors.
Architectural Technologist – Intermediate level
You will be required to meet with clients to agree on the project brief and advise on environmental, legal and regulatory issues. Contribute to planning applications and assess what surveys are required. You will prepare and present design proposals and advise clients on procuring the best and most appropriate contracts for the work. Liaise with appropriate Authorities and carry out design-stage risk assessments. Most of the work is office based, although site visits are commonly required.
Architectural Technologist – Senior level (Lead Design and Technical Associate)
You will be required to lead the design team consisting of architects and technicians and liaise with all other disciplines within the business; consultants, contractors, QS, Building Surveyors, Planning authorities as well as liaising with clients. You will lead design brief meetings, co-ordinate site surveys and prepare designs and specifications. Co-ordinate the preparation of schedules of inspections, tests, mock ups and samples. The role will involve the preparation of tender documentation and reviewing submissions. You will provide weekly feedback to the MD- covering project status, staff status, issues, and needs. You will hold yearly staff appraisals and support junior members of staff in the education / developments / achieve set goals.
