Bid Coordinator – Harefield

My client, a multi-utility contractor and looking to recruit a Bid Coordinator to coordinate prospective multi utility projects from receipt of enquiry to quotation issue stage.

You will also coordinate successful projects from acceptance to design approval stage.

Duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to;

Bidding:

  • Log new enquiries.
  • Check enquiries for missing information.
  • Issue customer updates.
  • Produce design briefs.
  • Requesting design quotations and designs.
  • Apply for utility connection points.
  • Apply for asset value quotations.
  • Requesting estimates.
  • Requesting site/route surveys.
  • Preparing/drafting quote letters.
  • Issue quote letters.

Design:

  • Logging acceptance information and checking for alterations.
  • Notifying team of project awards.
  • Holding pre-design approval update meetings.
  • Accepting utility quotations.
  • Accepting asset value quotations.
  • Requesting design quotations and designs.
  • Obtaining design approvals.
  • Holding contract start up meetings and handing projects over to operational team for delivery.

To be successful in this role you will need to have/be;

  • Clear/concise written and spoken communication appropriate to the needs of the reader.
  • Can work to tight timescales.
  • Well organized.
  • Good technical ability
  • Excellent computer/software skills

Previous Utility experience is preferred, as is a good knowledge and understanding of the industry.
