Highfield professional solutions are working on behalf of multi-disciplined engineering technology company who sit within the water sector who are looking to employ a permanent Electrician to work in the Bath/Bristol area. You will be working on various projects across the area, mainly on breakdown and maintenance projects. Previously experience of working within the water sector would be advantageous, i.e, pumping stations, waste water treatment plants, clean water plants, quarries.

Key Responsibilities for Electrician:

  • To assist with and carry out all types of Low Voltage electrical installation work
  • Taking responsibility for the health & safety of self and all under your control
  • Minimising impact on & protection of the environment
  • Safe cost effective delivery of electrical installations in line with company SHEQ policies
  • Managing the completion of site installation work ensuring work is on schedule and within budget, including:
  • Planning the work efficiently in order to meet agreed deadlines
  • Ordering materials and ensuring that the correct materials are on site when required
  • Interpretation of site drawings and project information
  • Liaising with other contractors
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of work on site to ensure work is meets the standards
  • Undertaking and recording statutory inspections of plant and equipment
  • Report all accidents, incidents and near misses
  • Respect the environment, implement control measures where applicable to protect the environment
  • Implement measures to prevent waste production
  • Ensure all waste is handled in line with legislation
  • To maintain confidentiality of information and ensure that information received is not disclosed, unless appropriate, to other company personnel or external bodies



  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Willingness to learn and update occupational and Health and Safety training
  • Ability to take instruction
  • Basic numeric and reading skills
  • Completion of appropriate electrical qualifications, including test and inspect.
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to read electrical drawings
  • Experience of 3phase motors and control
  • Experience working in quarries is beneficial
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Clean driving license
  • Good computer skills


  • IPAF license holder
  • PASMA license
  • Confined space trained
  • Some mechanical aptitude would be advantageous
