    Maintenance & Facilities Manager
    Location: Gloucester
    Salary: £37,000-£42,000

    The Company
    Our client are now 2 years into a 7-year contract for the maintenance and improvement of the Defence Built Estate, to include in excess of 20,000 assets.
    They are a new business, formed to deliver infrastructure, asset, and facilities management services into the UK Defence Sector. They are a 50:50 Joint Venture between 2 already established big players in the FM and Utilities markets with over 55 years’ experience.
    They are committed to enabling Defence capability through maintaining and enhancing the built estate in which our Armed Forces live, work and train.

    The role
    We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a Maintenance and Facilities Manager to join our direct delivery team near Gloucester.
    Working alongside our Works Supervisor, you’ll manage day-to-day operations across the site. You’ll be kept busy and need to be able to handle a varied workload. Emergencies are par for the course in facilities management, so we’re looking for someone who is flexible, adaptable and will remain calm under pressure.
    This is a pivotal role in the team, and you’ll be assisting in the delivery of our contractual deliverables, ensuring the client is supported effectively.
    Role Responsibilities:

    • Manage day-to-day maintenance operations across the site, overseeing the delivery of reactive, PPM and remedial works, whilst ensuring the effective, compliant, and timely delivery of our KPIs.
    • Review daily reports and monitor job progress, highlighting to BEM, if milestones and targets are at risk.
    • Manage sub-contractors who carry out the installation and maintenance to our assets.
    • Scope and manage additional works i.e., remedials, obtain quotes from contractors, raise POs, order parts, hire equipment, etc. as required.
    • Ensure all H&S documentation i.e., RAMS, SOKHs, Work Permits, AP requests, etc. are present prior to work.
    • Maintain both electronic and hard copy files inc. inspection reports, certificates, etc. and update CAFM system accordingly.
    • Carry out monthly assurance inspections on assets, repairs and grounds.
    • Carry out the duties of the Asbestos Responsible Person and Legionella Responsible Person.

    • C&G (Level 3 minimum) qualification in an electrical/mechanical discipline (or equivalent experience), or significant hard FM service management experience.
    • IOSH Managing Safely and/or NEBOSH General Certificate
    • Understanding of JSP 375 (Safe Systems of Work)
    • Working knowledge of a CAFM system
    • Ability to pass SC Clearance
    • Driving licence
