An opportunity has arison to join our clients large Facilities Management contract as a Maintenance Supervisor.
The purpose of the role is to provide a comprehensive supervision of FM operational activities for sites in the Cornwall area. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise and develop staff across all trade disciplines to meet the operational targets.

Main Duties:

Take leading role in the scheduling of work for operatives and contractors

Review daily timesheets for accuracy and check efficiency and amend inaccuracies ? Ensure risk assessments are suitable and in place for all works under your control

Carry out project work under £25,000

Carry out WIP and retro inspections

Manage planned maintenance, raising and completing remedials and reactive maintenance from arranging access and site liaison to signing off works and checking VFM

Carry out site safety checks, including tools, equipment and first aid checks

Checking sub-contractor RAMs

Obtain quotes from suppliers, source VFM and arrange purchase orders and sign off invoices

Arrange hire equipment – e.g. cherry pickers, tower scaffold

Organise and issue parts

Manage operatives work load and monitor performance

Review work load and request deferrals when required

First point of contact for operatives and contractors and site contact

Carry out return to work interviews with operatives

Maintain call out rota and inform Helpdesk of changes

Promote a pro-active safety culture

Key knowledge and skills:
Essential:

Previous supervisory experience.

Knowledge and understanding of the F.M. Environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience of working within a budget/fixed price contract
