Title: M&E Manager
Location: Reading – suitable candidate MUST be within 30 minutes of Reading
Reports to: Engineering Manager
About the role:
You could become part of a major service provider looking after a busy and challenging hospital in the Reading area. The role will be on the one main site and you will work alongside the shift teams to co-ordinate and manage all M&E engineering works that are undertaken.
We are looking for an experienced operator with good understanding of Critical Facilities/Hospital infrastructure (Electrical and Mechanical). As a key member of the engineering team, you will responsible for the inspection, operation and maintenance of all associated assets within the Hospital, with a primary focus on relevant electrical asset maintenance (Planned, Reactive and Corrective). You will also be expected to undertake HV Authorised Person responsibilities for the site and will actively contribute to the successful delivery of all critical works.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This role will be a leadership position requiring someone with both the technical know-how and management skills to directly influence and manage the actions of the on-site team of engineers. This Hospital will require an experienced hand to maintain and monitor the infrastructure of the building and ensure that all essential and non-essential tasks are completely to the highest standard.

Qualifications & Knowledge
- Knowledge of Critical Facilities infrastructure needs and requirements
- Recognised Electrical training
- HV AP course completion and experience within a critical environment.
