Technical Services Manager
Salary: £competitive + package
We are urgently recruiting for a Technical Services Manager at our client’s site in Coventry. Within this role you will have operational, HSE, financial and people accountability for a portfolio of business across a wide geographic area, ensuring key performance targets are maintained and exceeded and also to establish and maintain key business relationships across the client estate.
Key responsibilities will include the following:
Delivery of all planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities, together with additional services as requested, in line with an agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA)
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all technical and compliance areas being accountable for all statutory inspections and compliance activities across the Account
Ensure all engineers, subcontractors and all other employees working on the Account operate to a consistently high standard to ensure professionalism and customer focus at all times.
Take overall responsibility for the quality, cost effectiveness and day to day delivery of all maintenance and extra service activities.
Lead the operational delivery of maintenance, extra services and key Projects across the estate in critical environments in line with the Contract’s KPIs/SLA, strategically managing client’s property.
Identify, address and effectively resolve any Service Delivery and Key Performance Indicators issues relating to all technical and compliance activity.
Ensure that all staff are aware of, and comply with, the Company’s HSE Policy and associated procedures relating to Health & Safety at Work including, but not limited to, Manual Handling, COSHH, Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) etc.
Define and agree engineering sub-contractor service requirements, and working with the Commercial and Procurement Team to implement appropriate service agreements. Ensure regular reviews to drive performance and cost efficiencies.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent leadership skills in an operational environment with the ability to engage with both internal and external individuals at all levels of an Organisation
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience within a Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Technical Management environment being competent in delivering operational, financial, HSE, quality assurance, and human resource deliverables with compliance being a priority.
- Good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering experience. Experience of Appointed Persons duties
- Ideally degree qualified in an engineering discipline and Membership of (or evidence of working towards} an appropriate professional institution. eg. CIBSE. Ability to juggle multiple priorities and works well under pressure
