Water Supplies Officer (Standpipe Hire)

Salary circa 25k

Based Cambridge Region with some travel to Walsall

Highfield Professional Solutions are working on behalf of a leading water company to recruit for a Water Supplies Officer.

The role:

You will be assisting the Lead Water Supplies Officer in managing the standpipe hire process including liaising with current standpipe hirers, investigating reports of incorrect use (which may require attending court) and keeping accurate and up to date information. You will interact with internal and external stakeholders to develop the current standpipe hire business and manage the current charging policy, whilst maximising income. You will also liaise with internal departments to ensure locations for standpipes do not pose any risk to the distribution system.

To be successful in this role you will be innovative, confident in your approach with an excellent eye for detail, you will be customer focused and Microsoft proficient. You will have the ability to use your own initiative, coupled with excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Having working knowledge of water supply network hydraulics and Water Regulations would be desirable but not essential.

You will be out on the road for 85% of the time and the other 25% will be office based so it is vital that you are self-motivated and have good time management skills.

A current valid UK driving license is essential for this role.
