Life at Highfield

We’re over ten years old now, so we are not really a start-up anymore but we are certainly still growing at a fast pace.Highfield is a great place to work. Some of our team have been here since day one. Others have joined from university, college, the forces and other recruitment businesses. We like to think that people join us for our excellent base salary and commission packages, and that they stay for the career progression opportunities that exist at all levels. Our training is truly second to none and you will be mentored by one of our experts on Highfield’s structured development plan. Career progression could be a management role, or others prefer to specialise in a niche area of our business by becoming an Account Manager. Many people choose to remain in a hands on recruitment role whilst earning as much money as possible.

“Moving to Highfield was the first ‘career move’ I made, and it will be the last. I had been at a large, global agency for the first 3 years of my career and found myself completely stuck. I was approached by Liam, one of the Directors, with an opportunity that had been created purely out of business growth.

The transition from working for a company with thousands of employees in the South Coast alone, to a company with under 20 people employed at the time was obviously a huge culture shock for me, especially at the age of 20. However, I was quickly made to feel completely at ease, and welcomed into the strong family culture that runs through the office.

A lot of the job I had never done before, but I received complete support and training from the Directors throughout. No problem was too big and no question was too obvious.

The opportunities I have had since joining 2 years ago have been second to none – I have had exposure to things I didn’t even know existed within business, and have managed several business-critical projects; something I would never have had the opportunity to do in any other company.

I am now in the position of growing my own team, taking on further responsibilities within the business and have great plans already in place within the company, both short term and long term. Our Directors built the business from scratch and are still 100% involved and committed, which is totally refreshing to see. They genuinely care about both the business and the people here, which is very rare in agencies today.”

“After serving in the Royal Navy for the last 12 years and spending a lot of time away from home, I embarked on a search for a new job that offered me an opportunity to support my young family and challenge me on a daily basis.

What I found at Highfield Professional Solutions was not only that, but also an amazing working environment and another new family to be a part of. Highfield gave me the chance to succeed both for the organisation itself and on an individual level. This is done from great support from likeminded career driven colleagues, and mentoring and direction from highly qualified directors.

Throw into the mix an attractive office location, relaxed office feel and chance to earn a lot of money, I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Highfield Professional Solutions anyone looking for a place where no new day is like they last.”

In addition to our fantastic commission structure and inspirational management team we also get some pretty amazing benefits. We do an annual “Big Billers” holiday, incentive dinners in the Shard as well as regular team drinks and a monthly lunch club.

Highfield Recruitment

We’re typically a competitive bunch at Highfield and that is very much in evidence in the weekly football matches or on the Table Tennis Table each lunchtime.

“The culture working at Highfield is fantastic. There is a lot of positive energy in the office along with a real sense of teamwork and unity amongst my colleagues.”

We also support the REC’s Flexible Work Commission. It’s a fact that employees who have flexibility are 23% more likely to think their company is a great place to work. So, if employers can offer this then employee loyalty and satisfaction will improve. And that means a workforce pulling together to achieve success for the whole business.
